Nasarawa State University, Keffi Hosts NUC Accreditation Team for Chemistry Programmes

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) received the National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Team on Monday, 10th November 2025, for a comprehensive evaluation of its Chemistry programmes. The team was led by Professor Kabiru Jega Umar.

The accreditation exercise focused on programmes within the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, specifically B.Sc. Chemistry and B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry. Professor Umar commended the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, for her exemplary leadership and emphasized that the accreditation process is vital for ensuring the university’s academic standards meet global best practices.

In her remarks, Professor Liman warmly welcomed the team and underscored NSUK’s commitment to quality assurance. She highlighted that accreditation exercises provide valuable opportunities for engagement, networking, and future collaborations that strengthen the university’s academic offerings.

The Vice-Chancellor concluded by wishing the NUC team a successful and productive assessment exercise, reaffirming NSUK’s dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and research.
