Nasarawa State University Ranked 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and 8th in Nigeria

The ranking places NSUK among the top universities in the region, with only seven Nigerian institutions ahead of it.

Nasarawa State University Ranked 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and 8th in Nigeria

Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has been ranked 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and 8th in Nigeria in the latest Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings 2024, released by Times Higher Education on November 27, 2024. 

The ranking places NSUK among the top universities in the region, with only seven Nigerian institutions ahead of it. The Nigerian universities ranked higher are American University of Nigeria (12th), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (21st), Covenant University (26th), Landmark University (27th), Lagos State University (30th), University of Ibadan (31st), and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (32nd).

This achievement makes NSUK the second-best state university in Nigeria, following Lagos State University. The ranking is a testament to the university’s resilience and academic excellence despite systemic challenges.
