Nasarawa State University's Faculty of Arts Hosts 3rd International Conference, Announces Establishment of Centre for Leadership

The Faculty of Arts at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has successfully hosted its 3rd International Conference, themed "Humanities, Science, and Development."

The event featured a keynote address by Professor Sule Emmanuel Egya, who emphasized the importance of critical thinking in addressing global challenges.

During the conference, the Bala and Ladi Angbazo Legacy Foundation announced its commitment to establishing a Centre for Leadership, Security, and Policy Research within the Faculty of Arts. This initiative aims to address the dearth of leadership and advance research engagements in the field.

Major General Nuhu Angbazo (Rtd), CEO of the foundation, was honored with a Distinguished Award in Peace Development and expressed his appreciation for the recognition. He pledged a long-term partnership between the foundation and the Faculty of Arts to enhance leadership discourse.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, congratulated the Faculty of Arts on hosting the conference and highlighted the significance of the nexus between sciences, humanities, and development in addressing global challenges.

The event also featured the presentation of posthumous awards to former Deans of the Faculty and honored past Deans for their contributions to the university. Dignitaries in attendance included the Chancellor and Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, and the Esu Karu, HRM Pharm Luka Panya Baba.
