National Universities Commission Grants Full Accreditation to Nine Kwara State University Programmes

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has recorded another major academic milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation status to all nine undergraduate programmes presented by the institution during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has recorded another major academic milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation status to all nine undergraduate programmes presented by the institution during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.

According to the accreditation result addressed to the Visitor to the university and Governor of Kwara State, the approval was conveyed in a letter dated April 7, 2026, and signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu.

The commission stated that the accreditation status granted to the programmes would remain valid for the statutory five-year period.

The accredited programmes are Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Environmental Health Science, English, Linguistics, Performing Arts, Computer Science, and Microbiology.

Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, described the outcome as a reflection of the institution’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

He congratulated the Visitor to the university and members of the KWASU community, noting that the successful reaccreditation exercise underscored the collective efforts of stakeholders in maintaining high educational standards.

The Vice-Chancellor further urged staff and students to remain committed to delivering premium academic and administrative services, assuring that the university management would continue to pursue initiatives aimed at advancing the institution’s reputation and growth.
