Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has emphasized the need for robust and adaptive fiscal policies to mitigate economic shocks in Nigeria.

Speaking at the 7th Annual International Academic Conference on Taxation, jointly organized by the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and BUK's Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Abbas noted that the current economic challenges necessitate finding solace to rejuvenate the economy.

Professor Abbas, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Professor Sani Muhammad Gumel, stressed the importance of understanding the impact of tax policies during times of uncertainty.
