Nigerian Army University Biu Witnesses Historic Transition with Professor Ahmad Imam as New Acting Vice Chancellor

The Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) has successfully conducted an election to select an Acting Vice Chancellor, marking a significant milestone in the institution's history.

Professor Ahmad Imam emerged as the winner, securing 28 votes, while Professor Ibrahim Isa Adamu garnered 23 votes in a rigorous and transparent voting process.

Professor Imam, formerly the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), has pledged to build upon the foundations laid by his predecessor, reaffirming his commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the overall development of NAUB .

 

The outgoing Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the university community, highlighting the institution's achievements and progress. He emphasized the importance of continuity and collective effort in driving NAUB's vision forward.

The university community has welcomed Professor Imam's election, expressing optimism about the future of NAUB under his leadership. The Chairman of the Senate, Professor Kyari Mohammed, congratulated Professor Imam on his election, praying for a successful tenure.

 

Professor Imam brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously worked in various capacities, including as a Principal Instructor at Ramat Polytechnic and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at the University of Maiduguri .
