Nigerian Student Breaks Guinness World Record with 50-Metre Robe Sleeves
Samuel Chinecherem Ezeh, a 27-year-old Nigerian and final-year student at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, has officially earned a spot in the Guinness World Records for designing a robe with the longest sleeves ever made—measuring an astonishing 51.20 metres (167.97 feet).
According to a post shared by Guinness World Records, the robe sleeves are longer than the height of the Statue of Liberty and even exceed the length of an Olympic-size swimming pool.
Samuel, who is both a student and a self-taught fashion designer, shared that the project came with significant challenges. Despite this, he completed the creation and now hopes to take it on a global tour to showcase his extraordinary work.
“I wish to take it on a tour to display it in different countries and cities to show the world what it looks like,” Samuel said.
