NIMELSSA ABSU chapter spearheads tuberculosis awareness campaign during health week, conducting screenings and vital sign checks for over 100 students.
In a proactive move towards promoting student health and well-being, the Nigerian Medical Laboratory Science Students Association (NIMELSSA), ABSU chapter, spearheaded a vital health initiative during the NIMELSSA Health Week.
Under the leadership of the esteemed Director of Health, Comr Ikebunna Charles, the association conducted an impactful medical outreach focusing on the urgent battle against tuberculosis.
Key Highlights of the Health Initiative:
RECOMMENDED: ABSU Leads Fight Against Non-Communicable Diseases
Tuberculosis Screening: Over 100 students from diverse academic disciplines underwent thorough tuberculosis screening to assess their health status.
Comprehensive Vital Signs Check: In addition to tuberculosis testing, students received comprehensive health evaluations, including assessments of blood pressure levels (both diastolic and systolic), pulse rates, and other vital signs crucial for overall well-being.
Collaborative Efforts: The NIMELSSA health team collaborated seamlessly, ensuring the success of this critical health intervention.
