NOUN Faculty of Social Sciences Expresses Gratitude for New Building Allocation
The Dean, Heads of Departments, and the Faculty Officer of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) recently visited Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olufemi Peters to convey their appreciation for the allocation of a new complex building.
The Dean, Heads of Departments, and the Faculty Officer of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) recently visited Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olufemi Peters to convey their appreciation for the allocation of a new complex building. The delegation, led by Dean Prof. Kamal Deen Bello, received a warm welcome from the Vice-Chancellor, along with Deputy Vice-Chancellors Prof. Chiedu Mafiana and Prof. Godwin Akper, and the Deputy Registrar.
During the visit, Prof. Bello introduced his team to Prof. Peters and expressed gratitude for creating an enabling environment for the faculty. Notably, the Vice-Chancellor ensured uninterrupted electricity and water supply during the faculty’s relocation week from June 24 to June 28, 2024. This support significantly contributed to the smooth functioning of office operations.
Faculty representatives also discussed additional needs with Prof. Peters. The Vice-Chancellor expressed delight at the visit, emphasizing that it was the first time all Heads of Departments from a faculty had visited him together. He assured them of his commitment to addressing their concerns promptly and continuing to prioritize staff welfare and operational efficiency at NOUN.
In a significant gathering, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) convened with esteemed dignitaries. Iroye (Head of Department for Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution), Dr. Mathew Ogwuche (Head of Department for Political Science), Dr. Majebi Enesi (Representative of the Head of Department for Tourism Studies), and Opeyemi O. Daodu (Faculty Officer).
During the meeting, discussions centered on collaboration, growth, and enhancing the faculty’s impact. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, expressed his delight at the proactive engagement and assured the faculty of his commitment to addressing their needs promptly.
