NSUK Alumni to Honor Founding Father Sen. Abdullahi Adamu at Grand Award Night

The Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) Alumni Association has announced a high-profile award and dinner night to celebrate the institutional legacy of the first civilian Governor of Nasarawa State, Sen. Dr. Abdullahi Adamu.

The event is designed to recognize Senator Adamu’s visionary role in establishing the university, which has since become a premier center for academic excellence in North-Central Nigeria.

The President of the Alumni Association, Barr. Nuhu Egya (Notary Public), revealed the plans during a courtesy visit to the former Governor’s residence in Keffi. Key highlights of the upcoming ceremony include:

Date & Venue: Scheduled for April 25, 2026, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Meritorious Awards: Senator Adamu and distinguished alumni who have excelled in the judiciary, civil service, politics, and business will be formally honored.

Legacy Projects: The Hajiya Aisha Adamu Egye Hostel

In a significant move to give back to their alma mater, Barr. Egya informed Senator Adamu that the Alumni Association is planning the construction of a new female hostel on the university campus. The facility will be named in memory of the Senator’s late mother, Hajiya Aisha Adamu Egye, to preserve the family’s legacy of service to the state.
