FUNAAB VC Urges Leadership Graduands to Impact Society
The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has urged graduands of the Philosophy and Leadership Studies Programme to use the knowledge and values acquired to make positive impact in society.
Prof. Kehinde gave the charge on 30th September 2026 during the presentation of certificates to graduands of the programme held at the University.
He said the essence of acquiring knowledge is to translate it into meaningful contributions to society, and encouraged the graduands to extend the impact of the programme by inspiring and positively influencing others.
Earlier, the Director, Institute of Communication and General Studies, Prof. Remi Aduradola, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and other dignitaries for their support towards the growth of the programme, explaining that the ceremony was organised to formally present certificates to those who completed the programme.
The Programme Leader, Prof. Emmanuel Akintona, also appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for supporting the leadership development initiative.
Responding on behalf of the graduands, the Registrar, Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan, Mrs. Olanike Popoola, thanked the University for the knowledge imparted and expressed hope for further learning opportunities.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olusegun Idowu; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Prof. Olawale Dairo; Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi; Prof. Oniyekwere Nwaorgu; and Director of Internal Audit, FCAIB, Mr. Olakunle Karunwi.
The ceremony climaxed with the presentation of certificates and a renewed call on the graduands to apply the knowledge and values acquired for positive societal impact.
