NSUK Hosts ADHRI and HISN Inauguration of State Chapter and Conferment of Fellowship Awards

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has hosted the inauguration of the state chapter of the African Digital Health Research Institute (ADHRI) and the Health Informatics Society of Nigeria (HISN), as well as the conferment of fellowship awards on two distinguished staff members.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, congratulated Dr. Bashiru Abubakar Shafa and Dr. Abdullahi Ibrahim on their elevation as Fellows of HISN and ADHRI, as well as their appointments as Coordinator and Linkages Coordinator of the newly inaugurated Nasarawa State Chapters of the two organizations, respectively.

The Registrar and Executive Director of ADHRI, Dr. Owajoba Adedoyin, highlighted the benefits of the partnership with NSUK, including access to research grants, infrastructural development, academic exchange programs, and enhanced institutional visibility. He also emphasized the potential for technical support for healthcare digitization and strengthening government health initiatives through evidence-based digital solutions.

The University Librarian, Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir, described the conferment of fellowship awards on the two distinguished staff as a moment of pride for NSUK, highlighting their achievements in projecting the university's name onto the global stage in the fields of health research and healthcare informatics.
