NSUK Vice-Chancellor Commiserates with Tanzanian President Over Husband’s Demise
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has paid a condolence visit to the High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania in Nigeria to commiserate with the President of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, over the death of her husband, the First Gentleman of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hafidh Ameir Hassan.
Professor Liman led a delegation comprising members of the University Governing Council and Principal Officers. She conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the entire NSUK community to the Tanzanian President, her family and the people of Tanzania over the loss.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and for strength and comfort for the President and her family during this period of grief.
Receiving the NSUK delegation, the Deputy High Commissioner, who represented the High Commissioner, expressed appreciation to the University for the gesture and solidarity at the time of bereavement.

The visit further underscores the strong bond between Nasarawa State University and the Tanzanian President, who was honoured with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the University during its 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony and 25th Silver Jubilee celebrations held in April 2026.
