NSUK Vice-Chancellor Strengthens Ties with Nigerian Missions in Europe to Advance Internationalisation Agenda

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has engaged with Nigerian Embassies in Poland, Sweden, and Romania as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to deepen its internationalisation drive.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has engaged with Nigerian Embassies in Poland, Sweden, and Romania as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to deepen its internationalisation drive.

During her strategic mission to the three European countries, Professor Liman highlighted the crucial role of diplomatic missions in promoting science diplomacy, academic cooperation, cultural exchange, and cross-border mobility.

Affectionately known as the “Sweet Mother” of NSUK, the Vice-Chancellor briefed Nigeria’s Heads of Mission on the University’s existing and proposed collaborations with academic institutions in their respective host nations. The discussions focused on securing diplomatic support for staff and student mobility, joint research, exchange programmes, and institutional linkages.

In response, the Ambassadors and representatives of the Nigerian Missions commended NSUK’s forward-looking vision and praised its growing Consortium of Partner Institutions, which is steadily enhancing the global presence of Nigerian universities. They described the University’s approach as a model for how higher institutions in Nigeria can leverage diplomacy to expand academic frontiers, drive innovation, and strengthen international competitiveness.

They also assured the Vice-Chancellor of their unwavering diplomatic support in ensuring the sustainability and success of these partnerships.
