According to the NYSC management, this measure is intended to facilitate family unity and support for married female PCMs during their national service year. PCMs affected by this directive are required to present themselves during the registration period at the Orientation Camps with copies of their marital and other relevant documents as evidence.

Once the request for change of state of deployment is processed and approved, NYSC assures that the updated information will reflect on the PCM's dashboard. This will enable them to reprint their deployment letters with the corrected information.

This directive is aimed at ensuring that married female PCMs can serve in states closer to their husbands, thereby enhancing their overall experience during the national service.
