Emeke Iwerebon, the chairman of Learn Africa Plc, delivered a stirring speech during the ceremony, underscoring the foundation's unwavering dedication to promoting academic excellence. He reiterated that the establishment of these awards underscores the company's corporate social responsibility ethos, aimed at honoring exceptional academic achievements.
"This initiative is designed to reward academic brilliance, honor the dedication of teachers, acknowledge schools for their role in nurturing exceptional students, and promote a spirit of healthy competition at the secondary school level," remarked Iwerebon, emphasizing the multifaceted impact of the awards.

The spotlight of the evening shone brightly on Okafor Christian, an outstanding alumnus of Saint Paul’s Academy in Jos, Plateau State, who clinched the top prize of N1 million for his stellar academic performance. Following closely was Benson Chelsea from Renaissance Garden Secondary School in Ago-Okota, Lagos State, who was awarded N750,000 for securing the second position. Taleatu Oluwatimilehin from Oritamefa Baptist Model School in Ibadan, Oyo State, claimed the third spot and received a prize of N500,000.
