The news of his outstanding performance was brought to light by a Twitter user identified as Yakubu Sani, who tweeted, "A brilliant boy, Kaduna-based Salmanu Isa, scored straight A's in nine subjects in his 2023 WAEC. I have never seen such a feat in recent times."

Sani also expressed his disappointment at the lack of recognition from both the WAEC body and the government for Salmanu's exceptional accomplishment. He emphasized the importance of promoting and rewarding such academic excellence for the benefit of society. Sani stated, "These are the types of achievements we need to be promoting for the betterment of society. If it were comedy or beauty contests, the story would have been different. This boy deserves a medal and a full scholarship for his undergraduate study."

Netizens echoed Sani's sentiments, with many commending Salmanu's performance and some even expressing their willingness to provide scholarships for his further education. One individual pledged, "If you know this person, with this excellent WAEC result and a JAMB score of 300 or more, I am ready to provide a scholarship to study any course of choice (Exception: Medicine and Law) in Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja. Please let’s find him."
