The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has announced the schedule for the conduct of the Mid-Semester Tests for all fresh students in the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

According to an official directive, the University Senate has approved Monday, 19 January to Saturday, 24 January 2026 for the exercise. Faculties have been instructed to ensure that all departments comply strictly with the approved timeline.

In addition, the Senate reaffirmed the University’s policy on technology-driven assessments, directing that all mid-semester tests and final examinations for courses with enrolment exceeding 250 students must be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. This requirement applies to both mid-semester tests and end-of-semester examinations.

Academic units have been advised to make adequate preparations ahead of the tests, including effective coordination with relevant ICT support units, to guarantee a smooth and credible assessment process.

The University emphasized that strict adherence to the approved dates and mandatory CBT policy for large-enrolment courses is compulsory, as part of its commitment to efficiency, credibility, and modern assessment standards.
