Ogun Monarch Praises President Tinubu and Senator Adeola for Ilaro Poly Upgrade

The Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for approving the official gazette of the Act upgrading the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, to the Federal University of Technology.

The monarch described the development as "historic and a giant leap" that marks a new dawn for the educational and socio-economic advancement of Yewaland, Ogun West, and Ogun State at large .

President Tinubu signed the bill into law in May 2025, establishing the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro.

Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West, played a crucial role in advocating for the upgrade, with the monarch praising his dedication and strategic advocacy.

The upgrade is expected to transform the educational landscape of Yewaland, providing youth with access to cutting-edge technology and innovative education.

The monarch's commendation is shared by other Ogun monarchs, including the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, who described the upgrade as a monumental milestone that will empower the youth to drive progress and development in the region .
