Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, held its inaugural Annual Academic Lecture on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Institute’s Multipurpose Hall, marking a significant milestone under the leadership of Rector Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye.

Themed "Fostering Nigeria's Technological Advancement through a Virile Polytechnic System," the lecture aimed to drive innovation and align the polytechnic’s goals with Nigeria’s technological development.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Oluseye lauded the initiative as a vital platform for community sensitization and institutional growth, emphasizing its potential to enhance OGITECH’s contribution to the polytechnic sector.

Keynote Insights
The keynote speaker, Prof. Idris Bugaje, Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), represented by Prof. Diya'uddeen Basheer Hasan, delivered an impactful lecture advocating for:

  • Strengthened industry partnerships to bridge the academia-industry gap.
