OOU Don Appointed Chairman of RECTEM Governing Council

The Vice-Chancellor, Management and entire University community of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago-Iwoye, warmly congratulate Professor (Mrs.) Olufunke Olanike Akinkurolere, FNSE, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, on her appointment as Chairman of the Governing Council of Redeemer's College of Technology and Management, RECTEM, Redemption City.

The appointment, conveyed by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, takes effect from September 1, 2026 and is for a period of four years.

The appointment is a recognition of her distinguished leadership, wealth of experience, proven integrity and commitment to educational development.

According to the Chairman, RECTEM Transition Committee, Pastor Sunday Akinade, the new Council Chairperson's role will be crucial to the College's continued development.

"As the Chairman of the Governing Council, your role is crucial in guiding the College toward fulfilling its mission: to provide Christ-centred education that transforms lives and equips students for service to God and humanity," he stated.

As Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Akinkurolere will provide strategic leadership and oversight towards the continued growth, development and achievement of RECTEM's academic and institutional objectives.

"You will be expected to provide strategic oversight, ensure financial accountability, and contribute to the foundation of policies that will enhance the academic, spiritual, and moral integrity of the College," he added.
