PAAU 400-level Student Jibrin Munirat Missing; 100,000 NGN Reward Offered for Information

A widespread search is underway for Jibrin Munirat, a 400-level student of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, who has been missing since January 1, 2026.

Munirat, a student in the Department of Soil and Environmental Management, Faculty of Agriculture, reportedly disappeared in Kano State while on holiday. According to family reports, the disappearance occurred under critical medical circumstances following a road accident.

Munirat was reportedly sent to an ATM stand in Kano on New Year’s Day when she was involved in a car accident that rendered her unconscious. Witnesses at the scene stated they were transporting her to a nearby hospital around 9:00 AM.

On the night of January 2, 2026, Munirat briefly contacted her father using a phone belonging to a nurse, but communication was abruptly lost. Since that call, her family has been unable to reach her, she has not been given access to a phone, and no hospital has officially confirmed her admission to her relatives.

The family is in deep distress and is offering a reward of 100,000 NGN for concrete information leading to her current location.
