PAAU Senate Approves 2025/2026 Second Semester Results, Graduates 44 First-Class Students

The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the graduation of 44 students with First-Class Honours for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Senate also approved the withdrawal of 56 students for poor academic performance, failure to register for two consecutive semesters and academic deficiencies, while one student was expelled for gross examination misconduct.

The decisions were taken at the 168th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, following the consideration and approval of the 2025/2026 second semester examination results across faculties and departments.

The 44 First-Class graduands are:

Accordingly, 56 students were withdrawn for various academic deficiencies in accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations.

In a related development, the Senate considered the report of the Examination Misconduct Committee on a case of gross examination misconduct involving Mr Jude Ojoajogwu Itodo, Matriculation No. 26PL1068, of the Department of Plant Sciences and Biotechnology, and approved his expulsion from the University.

The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, commended the Results Verification Committee and the Examination Misconduct Committee for their diligence, objectivity and commitment to upholding the University’s academic standards.

Prof. Usman congratulated the 44 First-Class graduands for their hard work, discipline and outstanding academic performance, describing their achievement as inspirational.

He urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the University and to carry forward the values of hard work, integrity and excellence, while encouraging other students to draw inspiration from their achievement.

The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the determination of Senate and University Management to sustain academic excellence, discipline and quality assurance, stressing that while the University would continue to provide a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research, students must demonstrate commitment to their studies and comply with extant academic regulations.

Meanwhile, the withdrawn and expelled students have been directed to surrender all University property in their possession, including identity cards and other official items, to the Security Unit before exiting the University.
