The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Partnerships at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Sama’ila Usman Dakyes, has urged students of the Department of Accounting to remain dedicated to their studies to stay relevant in the national landscape. He emphasized the importance of accounting in contributing to the nation’s development and urged the students to maintain honesty and transparency in their everyday lives.

Prof. Dakyes made these remarks during a recent workshop organized by the Department of Accounting for its students. He highlighted the significance of such workshops, noting that in the fast-evolving digital world, it is essential for individuals to continually update their knowledge.

The professor also extended his appreciation to Tokuns International Limited, the organization that facilitated the training. He expressed FULafia's willingness to continue partnering with the company to provide more training opportunities for the students.

In his address, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, commended the students for attending the workshop and encouraged them to represent FULafia well wherever they go. He also praised Prof. Dakyes for taking the time to inaugurate the event despite his demanding schedule.
