School of Technology Alumni Association Commends Kano State Governor for Infrastructure Drive

The Alumni Association of the School of Technology (SOT) has commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his sustained commitment to the development and revitalization of the institution's infrastructure.

During an inspection visit by the association's executive committee, Chairman Engineer Auwalu Rabi’u Spikin disclosed that the School of Technology has not received this level of attention since its establishment in 1975. He described Governor Yusuf as a leader of integrity who clearly prioritizes educational advancement within the state.

Engineer Spikin emphasized that the ongoing investments, which include ring drainage construction, interlocking tiling, asphalt overlays, and general renovations, will significantly enhance the school's infrastructure, reputation, and overall learning environment. The repairs of heavy-duty printing machines were also noted among the completed projects.

The Chairman appealed to the state government to utilize the school’s workshops for producing essential items such as high-quality streetlights, student seating, and books. This initiative, he noted, would not only generate revenue for the institution but also provide invaluable practical skills and experience for the students.
