The event took place at the New Multipurpose Hall, NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area.
"Security is everybody's business," Mrs. Garba stated, urging the 2024 Batch B2 Corps Members to actively engage in security practices and take personal responsibility for their safety. She encouraged them to fully participate in the orientation sessions, absorb relevant information, and receive the training designed to enhance their understanding of security issues.
Mr. Ajah Dickson, Head of the Lecture Series, also addressed the Corps Members, advising them to pay close attention and ask clear, pertinent questions during the lectures to avoid ambiguities and repetitions.
The lecture series featured a significant presentation by Dr. Emmanuel Alibiosu, a Security Consultant from the University of Abuja. Dr. Alibiosu delivered an insightful talk on "Security and Conflict Management," stressing the importance of avoiding illegal substances that could jeopardize their future.
Additional lectures included topics on Deployment and Relocation by Mrs. Baushe Nanfe and ICT by Mohammed Anajah. These sessions aimed to provide the Corps Members with comprehensive information and practical skills relevant to their service year.
The orientation program underscores the NYSC’s commitment to preparing Corps Members for a successful and secure service year, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate their responsibilities effectively.
