Taraba State University Students Laud Governor Kefas for Revamped Hostel

Female students from Taraba State University (TSU) expressed their appreciation to Governor Agbu Kefas for the renovation of their hostel, which had been in a state of disrepair for several years. The commendation came as the students visited the school to assess the progress of the ongoing hostel project.
Students, including Miss Comfort Dooyum, Malliam Sefianu, and Laliat Usman, shared their satisfaction with journalists, highlighting significant improvements in the facility. They noted the enhanced power supply, the installation of solar power within the hostel premises, and improvements to the water system. The students expressed gratitude to Governor Kefas for his commitment to enhancing the education sector in the state.

The site engineer from PG Energy, the firm responsible for the project, Mr. D.A. Agbu, assured students that the hostel would be ready for those resuming on January 25, 2024. This renovation is part of Governor Kefas's Education Intervention Projects, with the education sector receiving substantial funding in the state's 2024 budget—totaling N43.2 billion or 13.9 percent of the N311 appropriation.
