TASFUED Appoints Dr Oso as Acting Director of Health Services
The Management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED) has approved the appointment of Dr Oso Olufemi Adeyinka as Acting Director of Health Services, effective Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The Management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED) has approved the appointment of Dr Oso Olufemi Adeyinka as Acting Director of Health Services, effective Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The appointment reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening leadership within its Health Services Division and ensuring the continued provision of efficient, responsive and quality healthcare services to members of the university community.
It is also in line with the new Federal Government policy on tenured appointments for Directors in university directorates.
Dr Oso is a medical practitioner with extensive experience in clinical and institutional healthcare practice. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B.) degree and a Master’s degree in Public Health (M.P.H.) from Babcock University, obtained in 2017.
He began his primary education at St. Francis School, Ibefun, and completed it at Ladi-Lak Institute, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos. He later attended Angus Memorial High School, Igbobi, Yaba, Lagos, for his secondary education.
Dr Oso commenced his university education at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, before completing his medical degree at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, in 2003.

Following his medical training, he began his professional career at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, where he served as a House Officer from 2004 to 2005.
He subsequently served as the Chief Medical Director of His Grace Hospital, Alagbole-Akute, in 2005, and later worked as a Locum Doctor at FEMTOB Specialist Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, from 2006 to 2008.
Before his latest appointment, Dr Oso served as an Assistant Chief Medical Officer at TASFUED, where he contributed to the provision of healthcare services to staff and students of the university.
In his new role, Dr Oso is expected to provide strategic leadership for the university’s Health Services, consolidate existing achievements and introduce initiatives aimed at further improving the quality, accessibility, responsiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery within the university community.
Meanwhile, the university management has expressed appreciation to the former Director of Health Services, Dr Gbenga Okusanya, for his exemplary service, dedication and contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
Dr Okusanya served as Director of Health Services from 2013 until the expiration of his tenure on August 30, 2026.
Management commended him for his unwavering dedication to his duties, professionalism and commitment to the wellbeing of the university community. It also acknowledged his significant contributions to the growth and progress of the university’s Health Services.
The management wished Dr Okusanya continued success in his future endeavours and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience and expertise would continue to benefit the university community.
