TASFUED Professor Receives SPAN Lifetime Achievement Award
A Professor of Sport Psychology in the Department of Health Education and Human Kinetics, College of Science and Information Technology, Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Ijagun, Professor Lanre Ipinmoroti, has been honoured with the Sport Psychology Association of Nigeria (SPAN) Lifetime Achievement Award.
A Professor of Sport Psychology in the Department of Health Education and Human Kinetics, College of Science and Information Technology, Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Ijagun, Professor Lanre Ipinmoroti, has been honoured with the Sport Psychology Association of Nigeria (SPAN) Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award was presented during the 39th National Conference of the Sport Psychology Association of Nigeria, held at the Table Tennis Gymnasium, Sports Centre, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
According to the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Professor Kehinde Aderonmu, Professor Ipinmoroti was selected in recognition of his exceptional contributions to athlete mental health, research, capacity building, advocacy and service to national sports teams.
The Association stated that his sustained commitment has significantly advanced the practice and development of sport psychology in Nigeria. It added that his professional accomplishments have inspired generations of practitioners, students and athletes.
The conference, themed "Mental Health and Performance Optimisation," brought together scholars, researchers and practitioners to examine emerging issues in sport psychology and explore strategies for improving athletes' mental well-being and performance.
Reacting to the recognition, the Vice-Chancellor of TASFUED, Professor Samuel Oladipo, congratulated Professor Ipinmoroti on the award, describing it as a well-deserved honour.
He said the award reflects the professor's outstanding scholarship, professional excellence and immense contributions to sports development at both national and international levels.
Professor Oladipo noted that the recognition further strengthens TASFUED's growing reputation as a centre of academic excellence and impactful research.
With the honour, Professor Ipinmoroti joins the ranks of distinguished scholars whose work continues to shape athlete development in Nigeria.
