TAU Students Excel at CIMA National Finals, Win ₦500,000 at CGMA Business Leadership Challenge

Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) has recorded another major academic milestone as Team Diamond emerged Second Runner-Up at the 2025 CGMA Business Leadership Challenge, organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

The national finals, held on December 11, 2025, at the Nigeria British Chamber of Commerce, Lekki, Lagos, featured over 60 teams drawn from 10 universities across the country. TAU secured the Second Runner-Up position, finishing behind Baze University, which emerged winner, and Covenant University, which placed First Runner-Up.
Team Diamond qualified for the national finals after winning the University Round and subsequently defeating Landmark University at the Regional Round of the competition.
Commending the students, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Francisca Oladipo, described the achievement as a clear demonstration of TAU’s commitment to producing globally competitive and industry-ready graduates.
The performance also underscores the value of the university’s strategic partnership with CIMA, which continues to provide students with global exposure and access to professional development opportunities.
