UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor Hosts ANUPA Delegation, Reaffirms Commitment to Staff Development
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has received a delegation from the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), UNIZIK Chapter, on a courtesy visit to his office.

The delegation was led by the Chapter Chairman, Mr Emmanuel C. Nnaemeka, who expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for granting the audience and for his continued support to the association. Mr Nnaemeka particularly highlighted the Vice-Chancellor’s early commitment to staff development, noting his approval of a training programme and the provision of a vehicle even before ANUPA’s formal introduction.
He also informed the Vice-Chancellor of the association’s upcoming annual function and formally invited him to attend and declare the event open. As a mark of goodwill and appreciation, Mr Nnaemeka presented the ANUPA sash to Professor Anyaehie.
The University Registrar, Dr Chineye Okeke, used the occasion to officially congratulate Professor Anyaehie on his appointment as the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution. She assured him of the unwavering support and cooperation of the university’s administrative staff in advancing the institution’s mandate.

Dr Okeke further introduced the ANUPA unit within the Registry, describing it as a key training arm focused on capacity building and professional development. She emphasised the importance of continuous training for administrative staff and appealed for the Vice-Chancellor’s sustained support for future programmes.
In his response, Professor Anyaehie thanked the ANUPA delegation for the visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to staff training and development. He acknowledged the critical role of professional administrators in the university system and pledged to support and approve their training initiatives whenever feasible.
Members of the delegation included the Secretary, Mr Tevin Anyali; Treasurer, Mr Samuel Unegbu; Legal Officer, Barrister Ifeoma E. Nnolim; Editor-in-Chief, Mrs Jibike Viola Uchenna; other executive members of the association; and Mr Modebelu Victor, former Acting Registrar of the university.
