TETFund Donates Solar-Powered Tricycles to Ahmadu Bello University

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has received 20 solar-powered tricycles from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to enhance campus mobility and promote sustainable transportation.

The tricycles, powered by lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, can travel 130-150 km on a single charge. ABU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, thanked TETFund for the donation, which complements 20 CNG-powered tricycles previously received from the federal government.

The vehicles will be operational after installing a charging station by IRS Green Energy Limited. This initiative supports staff and student welfare while advancing green energy solutions in Nigerian universities.
