Thomas Adewumi University Criminology Students Visit Kwara Police Headquarters
The Department of Criminology and Security Studies at Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) recently organized an educational visit to the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Kwara State Command, in Ilorin.
This hands-on learning experience provided students with invaluable exposure to professional crime investigation processes and internal policing operations.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore specialized units, including Homicide, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Kidnapping, Anti-Trafficking, Surveillance, and Legal. This experience bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world practice, preparing future criminologists for successful careers in Nigeria and beyond.
The university's commitment to experiential learning is evident in this initiative, which aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in their chosen field. By going beyond the classroom, TAU is positioning its students for success in the world of criminology and security studies.
