Thomas Adewumi University Signs MoU With Russia’s RUDN University to Boost Global Academic Collaboration

Thomas Adewumi University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RUDN University, Russia, in a strategic move aimed at expanding international academic cooperation and strengthening global learning opportunities for students and staff.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in the university’s drive toward internationalisation and academic excellence, opening up structured collaboration between both institutions.

The partnership is expected to deliver a range of academic and professional opportunities, including:

• Student exchange programmes
• Professional short courses with RUDN University certification
• International student mobility initiatives
• Double degree Master’s programme in Mass Communication
• Introduction of Russian Language studies at TAU Foreign Language Centre

The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University, Prof. Francisca O. Oladipo, alongside members of the university management, and Associate Prof. Muhammed J. Mustapha, who represented RUDN University, Russia.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor described the partnership as the outcome of over a year of sustained engagement and shared institutional vision, reaffirming the university’s commitment to expanding global academic exposure for its community.

She noted that the agreement reflects a deliberate strategy to position the institution within the global knowledge ecosystem through structured partnerships and cross-border academic engagement.

The collaboration is expected to enhance innovation, knowledge exchange and capacity development across both institutions, particularly in areas of teaching, research and professional training.
