Thomas Adewumi University Undergoes Comprehensive NUC Accreditation for Law and Medical Sciences
Thomas Adewumi University recently welcomed the National Universities Commission (NUC) team to assess its Faculty of Law and departments under the Faculty of Basic Medical & Health Sciences—including Anatomy, Public Health, Physiology, and Physiotherapy.
The assessment, which lasted three to four days, brought together members of the accreditation team to thoroughly evaluate the academic and infrastructural standards of the departments. The exercise included inspections of laboratories and libraries, reviews of staff qualifications and curricula, as well as student interviews, all aimed at ensuring top-notch academic standards.
During one of the opening sessions, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo, warmly welcomed the team, highlighting TAU’s achievements and its readiness to receive guidance to further enhance its programmes. The team assured the university that the visit was intended to mentor and guide, not to condemn, while ensuring compliance with national standards.
This accreditation process is key to ensuring quality education, enhancing credibility, and expanding opportunities for our students.
