UCH Transportation Division Commends Management for Career Advancement and Training Initiatives
The Head of the Transportation Division at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Mr. Olusegun Akintola, led a delegation of transport officers on a courtesy visit to the hospital’s management team on April 9th, 2026.
The meeting, held in the hospital’s Boardroom, focused on the positive impact of recent staff development programs on the division's efficiency and morale.

During the visit, Mr. Akintola expressed his sincere gratitude to the management for the successful training of the 6th batch of drivers. He noted that these consistent training opportunities have been instrumental in the promotion of transport officers to senior cadres. This career progression, he emphasized, has served as a major motivator for staff, encouraging them to be more diligent and professional in the discharge of their duties.
In his response, the Chief Medical Director, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, commended the transport team for their dedication to professional growth. He reiterated that staff welfare and patient comfort remain the core priorities of his administration.
The CMD urged the division to maintain its high level of commitment, reminding them that their role is vital to the hospital's logistics. "More is expected from you," Professor Otegbayo remarked, encouraging the team to continue striving for excellence in service delivery.
