The University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, Cross River State, successfully organized the second orientation ceremony for its newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session on February 24th, 2026.

The University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, Cross River State, successfully organized the second orientation ceremony for its newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session on February 24th, 2026.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick N. Asuquo, was represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Associate Professor Benedict Ugbong, who warmly welcomed the fresh intake to the university. He commended the students for choosing UEE, emphasizing that their decision was a significant step toward a promising future. Prof. Asuquo highlighted UEE’s distinctive approach to education, which combines theoretical knowledge, skill acquisition, and character development. He explained that graduates earn a unique “certificate plus”, comprising a conventional academic certificate and an entrepreneurship certificate, equipping them to be job creators and self-reliant leaders.

Assoc. Prof. Ugbong encouraged students to take full advantage of UEE’s serene and secure learning environment, designed to foster academic excellence and personal growth. He stressed the importance of serious engagement in both studies and practical skill training, essential for developing proficiency in their respective fields and making meaningful societal contributions.

In addition, he strongly advised students to avoid antisocial behaviors, including cultism and theft, which could harm both their personal reputations and that of the university.

The Registrar, Amb. Gabriel O. Egbe, Ph.D, presented a comprehensive lecture on the operational structure of the university and other relevant topics, including issues like indecent dressing, delivered by various resource persons.
