UNIABUJA Bursary Trains Staff on New Tax Act 2025

The Bursary Department of the University yesterday organised an in-house training workshop to equip staff with practical knowledge of the New Tax Act 2025 and its implications for payroll, PAYE, and public sector financial management.

Declaring the training open at the Main Campus, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, urged participants to apply the knowledge gained to strengthen compliance and financial governance.

In her remarks, the Bursar, Madam Shiva Rae Kondoun, stressed the need for collaboration across units in implementing the reforms.

Presentations were delivered by Professor Taibat Atoyebi, Dr Kennedy Iwundu (ICT University, Cameroon), and Dr Fasasi A. Kazeem, focusing on evolving tax systems and compliance under the new law.
