JABU Holds Strategic Parents’ Forum Ahead of Second Semester Commencement
The Parents’ Forum of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, was successfully held on Saturday, 28th February, 2026, bringing together University Management, Forum Executives, and parents to deliberate on issues concerning students’ welfare, academic progress, and institutional development.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. O.A. Fakolujo, warmly welcomed parents and guardians and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to providing a safe, disciplined, and conducive learning environment for all students. He highlighted major achievements recorded in the first semester, including successful convocation ceremonies, accreditation of several academic programmes, outstanding performances in professional examinations, restoration of the Student Union, and ongoing staff development initiatives. He also encouraged parents to continue partnering with the University in guiding students toward responsible conduct, punctual resumption, and adherence to institutional values.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Parents’ Forum, Pastor O. S. Abitogun, appreciated parents for their unwavering support and commended the University Management for developmental efforts across the campus. He acknowledged God’s protection and the importance of safety measures in the University. He also highlighted the Forum’s ongoing projects, including the remodelling of Male Hostel 3 and plans to acquire a coaster bus to ease students’ transportation challenges, while calling for sustained collaboration between parents and the University.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of parents and the University to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped with knowledge, character, and leadership capacity for the future.
