UNICROSS Opens Application for the Position of Bursar

The University of Cross River State, Calabar (UNICROSS) is recruiting for the position of Bursar, with applications now open to suitably qualified candidates.

The Bursar will serve as the Chief Financial Officer, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the university’s financial affairs. As a Principal Officer and member of the University Management, the Bursar will play a pivotal role in fiscal oversight.

Qualifications and Experience Candidates must possess:

A B.Sc. in Accounting with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2) or a Master’s Degree, plus at least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification cognate experience in a university or similar institution.

A recognized professional qualification such as ICAN or ANAN is required.

Possession of a relevant higher degree or professional fellowship will be an added advantage.

The maximum age limit is sixty (60) years.

Tenure and Remuneration: The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years. The successful candidate will receive salaries and benefits aligned with the Consolidated Salary Structure for Nigerian Public Universities, as approved by the Governing Council.

Conditions and Age Limit: Candidates should not be below the rank of Deputy Bursar in a university or comparable institution and must not exceed sixty (60) years of age upon assumption of duties.
