The management of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has welcomed returning students to campus for the 2026/2027 academic session, with Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebunoluwa Oduwole, expressing optimism about improved academic performance, campus experience and spiritual development.

The reception took place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, with Oduwole leading members of staff to welcome students back after the holidays.
Addressing the students, whom the university fondly calls “Stalelites,” the Vice-Chancellor thanked God for their safe journeys and preservation during the holiday period.
“Welcome back to your home. Thank God for journey mercies and for keeping you throughout the holidays. This new session promises greater academic excellence, improved campus experience, and deeper spiritual growth,” she said.
Oduwole described the returning students as the pride and pacesetters of the university, urging them to approach the new session with focus, good character and a clear sense of purpose.
“Resume with focus, character and purpose. Fresh grace, fresh anointing and higher goals,” she charged them.

Beyond the welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor led staff members in guiding the students through registration procedures and orientation on the university’s culture and expectations.
The students reportedly welcomed the reception, expressing appreciation for the warm reception and guidance provided as they prepared to resume academic activities.
The return of continuing students marks the commencement of full academic activities for the new session. Earlier in the week, the university had also welcomed newly admitted students and announced a three-day fasting and prayer programme, reflecting its faith-based approach to university life.
In a related development, the university management met with members of the Parents Forum, who conducted an election to select new executives and donated 10 fans to the institution in support of its operations.

With the new session underway, the university is looking forward to another academic year focused on excellence, discipline and spiritual development.
