UNIMAID Faculty of Pharmacy Successfully Conducts SIWES Defence for Clinical Students

The Clinical Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has successfully concluded the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) defence for its 400 and 500-level students. 

The academic exercise, held today, served as a formal platform for students to present the practical clinical knowledge and professional exposure gained during their respective industrial postings.

The Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria Students (PANS), UNIMAID Chapter, lauded the department for the effective coordination of the defence. During the sessions, students demonstrated their readiness for professional practice by reflecting on their growth and the application of pharmaceutical care in real-world clinical settings.

In a statement signed by the Director of Press, Media, and Publicity, Fashola O. Mubarak, the association expressed appreciation to the faculty lecturers and external examiners for their rigorous guidance throughout the programme.

"This marks another significant step in your journey toward becoming competent and professional pharmacists," the statement read, congratulating the participants on reaching this vital academic milestone. 

The successful completion of the SIWES defence further solidifies the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates capable of contributing to Nigeria's healthcare sector.
