UNIMAID Igbo Community Pays Courtesy Visit to Vice-Chancellor

The Igbo community of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) paid a courtesy visit to Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, at his office on September 15, 2025.

During the visit, Prof. Mele reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to collaboration and community engagement, noting that his over two decades of academic experience position him to drive growth and innovation within the University. He expressed gratitude for the community’s support and pledged to uphold inclusivity and excellence at UNIMAID.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Professor Toby Egbe acknowledged the Vice-Chancellor’s wealth of experience and vision, pledging the community’s collaboration with University management. He emphasized the importance of unity in advancing the University and committed to promoting academic excellence, cultural diversity, and social responsibility alongside the administration.
