UNIMED Advises Candidates to Consider Physical Option After Mock Post-UTME Challenges

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has advised candidates who selected the virtual option for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening but did not participate in the recently conducted mock examination to consider switching to the physical examination option.

The advisory follows observations made during the mock Post-UTME exercise, where a significant number of candidates failed to comply with the prescribed examination guidelines, particularly those relating to computer compatibility and internet bandwidth requirements. According to the University, these lapses resulted in technical difficulties that affected the participation of some candidates during the virtual examination.

In view of the experience, the University strongly recommended that candidates who missed the mock exercise and opted for the virtual screening should consider changing to the physical examination option to ensure a smoother examination process.

The Management, however, clarified that the recommendation is purely advisory and that the final decision rests with each applicant.

UNIMED also emphasized that it will not be held responsible for any technical issues arising from computer incompatibility or failure by candidates to comply with the stipulated examination guidelines.

The University wished all applicants success in the forthcoming 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise.
