UNIOSUN Announces 2025/2026 Pre-Degree Admission Application

Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has announced the commencement of applications for its one-year Pre-Degree Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programme serves as a preparatory pathway for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate courses of the university after meeting the required academic standards.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar, the Pre-Degree Programme is designed to strengthen students’ academic foundation and enhance their chances of gaining admission into full-time degree programmes across UNIOSUN’s campuses.

General Admission Requirements

Applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects from any of the following examinations:

• SSCE (WAEC)
• SSCE (NECO)
• NABTEB or equivalent qualifications

For Arts programmes, a credit pass in English Language is compulsory.
For Science and Social Science programmes, candidates must have credit passes in both English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates with deficiencies in their O’Level results or those awaiting results may also apply, provided they rectify such deficiencies before the conclusion of the 2025/2026 admission process.

How to Apply

Candidates are required to complete their registration online through the university’s official website at www.uniosun.edu.ng or directly via the Pre-Degree Portal at pds.uniosun.edu.ng.

Application Steps:

1. Carefully read the registration guidelines before starting the process.
2. Fill out the online application form accurately and submit it.
3. Print two copies of the completed form for submission at the Pre-Degree Office.
4. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦15,000 via the Remita Payment Gateway on the portal.

Placement into Degree Programmes

Upon successful completion of the Pre-Degree Programme, candidates must sit for the 2025/2026 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain a satisfactory score. Admission into degree programmes will be based on performance in both the Pre-Degree Programme and JAMB UTME.
