The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced that candidates with disabilities will be exempted from participating in the 2025 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) screening exercise.

The directive, issued by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), mandates that such candidates will not undergo the PUTME process but will instead be considered for admission strictly on the basis of their 2025 UTME performance.

The University advised prospective students in this category to confirm their status by checking the official exemption list published on its website. According to the Registrar, candidates are expected to visit the university’s portal for verification and further information regarding the exemption.
