UNIPORT Invites Applications for ACE-PUTOR Postgraduate Programmes in Public Health, Nursing, and Toxicology

The University of Port Harcourt, through the Africa Centre of Excellence in Public Health and Toxicological Research (ACE-PUTOR), is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for postgraduate programmes designed to produce highly skilled public health, nursing, and toxicology professionals for Africa.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes:

Accreditation:
All programmes are approved by the UNIPORT Senate and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Royal Society of Biology.

Admission Requirements:

• PGD Nursing: First degree or HND with Upper Credit in a relevant field.
• MSc Midwifery/Child Health: Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Lower.
• PhD: MSc in relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0.
• All nursing applicants must be registered and licensed nurses or midwives.

Programme Duration:

• PGD Full-time: 12–18 months | Part-time: 18–24 months
• MSc Full-time: 12–24 months | Part-time: 24–36 months
• PhD Full-time: 36–48 months | Part-time: 48–60 months

Methods of Instruction:

• Flexible, modular, and competency-based learning through online and classroom modes.
• Lectures delivered by expert faculty from Nigeria and abroad.
• Internship of at least one month in relevant industries/sectors.
• Dissertation supervision by multidisciplinary teams with support for timely completion.
• Emphasis on innovation, patents, and commercialization of research outputs.
