UNIPORT VC Receives Catholic Chaplaincy, Reaffirms Commitment to Humanity and Service
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Chike Princewill, on Monday, August 10, 2026, received the Chapel of Annunciation, Catholic Chaplaincy, University of Port Harcourt, led by its Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Okeowho Donatus Odinakachi, on a courtesy visit.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Chike Princewill, on Monday, August 10, 2026, received the Chapel of Annunciation, Catholic Chaplaincy, University of Port Harcourt, led by its Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Okeowho Donatus Odinakachi, on a courtesy visit.

The visit was aimed at congratulating the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment and reaffirming the Chaplaincy’s commitment to working with the new administration towards the advancement of the University.
The delegation expressed excitement and solidarity with Professor Princewill and wished him a successful tenure in office.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Chaplaincy for the visit and the kind gesture. He appreciated the delegation for its show of support and solidarity, noting the importance of collaboration and unity in building a stronger University community.
Professor Princewill further stressed the need for humanity to remain at the centre of human existence, particularly among Christians.

He urged members of the University community to uphold love, compassion, understanding and service to others in their daily lives.
