The University of Uyo Students’ Union Government (SUG) has officially announced the resumption of General Training Sessions for students, aimed at promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and the discovery of new athletic talent across all campuses.

The University of Uyo Students’ Union Government (SUG) has officially announced the resumption of General Training Sessions for students, aimed at promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and the discovery of new athletic talent across all campuses.

Scheduled for every Saturday at the Town Campus Sports Facilities, including the Mini Stadium, Volleyball, Basketball, and Tennis courts, the sessions are open to all students, irrespective of skill level. Participants are required to come in appropriate sports attire.

Sports Activities on Offer:

  • Field & Ball Games: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Rugby
  • Combat Sports: Taekwondo, Karate, Judo
  • Racket & Track: Lawn Tennis, Track & Field events
  • Indoor Games: Scrabble and more

Comr. Abasifreke Job, Director of Sports, emphasized that the initiative aims to foster unity, enhance student fitness, and strengthen campus sports culture. “Let’s train, compete, and reignite the spirit of Uniuyo sports together,” he said.
