University of Jos Releases Revised Academic Calendar for 2022/2023 Session

The Directorate of Academic Planning and Management at the University of Jos has released a revised academic calendar for the 2022/2023 session.

According to the calendar, the first semester will commence on September 11, 2023, with registration of fresh students, while returning students will register from September 14 to 29, 2023. Lectures will begin on September 22, 2023, and end on December 22, 2023.

The second semester will commence on January 29, 2024, with lectures ending on May 18, 2024. Examinations will start on May 20 and end on June 8, 2024.

Other important dates include:

- Christmas break: December 23, 2023 - January 1, 2024

- Industrial attachment: February 17 - July 26, 2024

- Teaching practice: June 29 - August 10, 2024

- Academic staff annual leave: August 12 - 15, 2024

The revised calendar has been approved by the university's senate.
